Young Camp Participants Explored the Technologies of the Future
Participants of the Jópálya Camp had the opportunity to discover modern digital technologies with the help of equipment provided by the Németh Imre Foundation (NIA). Through three interactive stations, primary school students experienced future-oriented technologies in a fun and engaging way.
At the first station, the children used a professional 3D scanner to create digital scans of their own faces. They were fascinated to see how a realistic three-dimensional model could be generated within seconds.
The second station focused on robotics. The participants programmed three different robots and guided them through a robot course, solving various challenges along the way. During the activities, they experienced how logical thinking, creativity, and teamwork are essential skills in programming and robotics.
At the third station, the students had the chance to try the Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality headset. For many of them, it was their very first VR experience, providing an exciting glimpse into the possibilities of immersive digital technologies.
At the end of the program, every participant received a special gift: a custom-designed phone holder produced with the Németh Imre Foundation's 3D printer. The children were delighted with the unique souvenirs.
Melinda Mészáros, President of the Németh Imre Foundation, said:
"We are delighted that the Jópálya Camp, organized by the Békés County Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Gyula Vocational Training Centre Kossuth Lajos Technical School, gave our Foundation the opportunity to participate and introduce our innovative equipment to the children. We are grateful to have contributed to the camp's activities and hope these experiences inspired the students to become interested in future technologies and careers in engineering, robotics, and information technology."
The mission of the Németh Imre Foundation is to introduce young students to innovative technologies at an early age. The Jópálya Camp provided an excellent opportunity for children to experience 3D scanning, robotics, virtual reality, and 3D printing while gaining inspiration for the digital world of the future.
