They could obtain a drone licence — and they passed successfully
Alongside the 12th-grade law-enforcement students of the Gyulai SzC Kossuth Lajos Technikum, Vocational School and Dormitory, our Foundation also trained the civil guards of Karcag within a drone course. Both groups passed their exams and obtained their drone licences. Congratulations to all participants!
"Thanks to the cooperation between the GySzC Kossuth Lajos Technikum, Vocational School and Dormitory and the Németh Imre Foundation, law-enforcement students were offered a unique opportunity this spring.
In April we wrote about the drone course held at Kossuth Lajos Technikum and organised by the Németh Imre Foundation. It was an excellent opportunity for the school's 12th-grade law-enforcement students and, as the foundation's president Melinda Mészáros said, the initiative proved successful: over the summer the students obtained their drone exam certificates. Thus they can advance in their profession with the knowledge provided by the foundation.
'In recent years, through various grant calls, the foundation has acquired two drones on two occasions, and with these we began providing training for both students and adults. It is unique in the country that, through cooperation between the school and the foundation, 12th-grade students in law enforcement and public service can obtain a drone pilot licence within the framework of school training. Our foundation provides the drones and expertise, while the school provides the students and the venue,' the president said.
But not only the students of the Orosháza institution embarked on the training: members of the Karcag Civil Guard also enrolled in the course, for whom the foundation likewise provided the curriculum. Although the instruction itself was conducted online, the practical sessions were also hosted by Kossuth Lajos Technikum. Like the law-enforcement students, the civil guards from Karcag successfully met the challenge."
