Drone pilot licence
Thanks to the cooperation between the GySzC Kossuth Lajos Technikum, Vocational School and the Németh Imre Foundation, students in the "Mezgé" law-enforcement track now have a unique opportunity: they can obtain a drone pilot licence.
"Our school offers a law-enforcement program among others, and we strive to make all our programs attractive to students. Law-enforcement students have the privilege that, together with the Németh Imre Foundation, we can provide them with a drone course. Earning a drone licence is a fantastic added value provided by the institution, and later they will be able to make good use of this extra qualification in their work," the principal pointed out.
According to Melinda Mészáros, President of the Németh Imre Foundation, the foundation has won two drones on multiple grant calls in recent years, and with these they began offering drone training for both students and adults.
"It is unique in the country that, through the cooperation of the school and the foundation, 12th-grade students in law enforcement and public service can obtain a drone pilot licence within the framework of school training. Our foundation provides the drones and expertise, while the school provides the students and the venue," the president said.
The participating students see the potential in this training and are happy to take part.
