Passed on robotics skills to foreign students

The program was organized by Edutus University, and hosted by the University of Miskolc between August 21 and August 26. Students from a total of 10 countries participated—some had earned the opportunity by representing their home countries in WRO (World Robot Olympiad) competitions, while others wished to expand their knowledge. Six instructors were invited altogether, including Melinda Mészáros, a teacher at Kossuth Lajos Technikum, who also works with the institution as president of the Németh Imre Foundation.

"For me, it was a truly interesting and honorable invitation—and also a task. My group included Georgian students, and there were also two teams from Montenegro and Poland. They received engaging assignments ranging from disassembling robots to building lift mechanisms. Of course, this nearly week-long program wasn't only about research; there was time for rest as well. We closed with a joint competition.

As an instructor, it was fascinating to see that it didn't matter which country the students came from or what language level they had—once we put them into a group with a shared goal and orientation, they were able to perform at a remarkably high level," said Melinda Mészáros.

She added that it was an interesting experience for her as well; she learned a lot from it, and hopes the participants will be able to apply the knowledge and experience gained here later—whether in competitions, or during their studies and work.
