Freshmen Initiation at Kossuth Technikum with NIA Equipment

This year, the new ninth-grade students of Gyulai SZC Kossuth Lajos Technikum once again had the opportunity to take part in a special experience. The school held its traditional freshmen initiation ceremony, known at Kossuth as the "Bundaavató."

Naturally, IT also played a part in the programme. The ninth-grade Software Developer and Tester students joined the ceremony in true IT style: their faces were decorated with 0s and 1s, the digits of the binary number system.

The equipment provided by the Németh Imre Foundation (NIA) once again helped make this community event even more special. Drone footage was recorded during the Bundaavató, allowing the memorable occasion to be captured from the air as well.

After the initiation ceremony, it was time for some fun: the ninth-grade students had the opportunity to try out VR headsets, which they welcomed with great enthusiasm. For many of them, experiencing virtual reality was something completely new, while also giving them a glimpse of the technological opportunities awaiting them at the school.

Our Foundation is especially pleased to welcome another group of new students to Kossuth Technikum. Over the coming years, they will have the opportunity to use the robotics, drone and VR equipment provided by NIA, enabling them to learn, experiment and explore new technologies.

We hope that after these first shared experiences, we will meet them many more times in the robotics room, behind the VR headsets, alongside the drones – and, of course, at competitions in the years ahead.
