Growing up in a world driven by algorithms

04/03/2026

The Skill Issue team supported by the NIA – Németh Imre Foundation (Hédi Stübe, Sándor Csanyiga, Erik Gál) received a task to create an AI-generated comic as part of the second round of the AInstein competition.

The comic presents how a young person grows up in a world shaped by algorithms and learns to make conscious decisions within it.

It addresses three main issues:
– the dangers of fake information and deepfakes,
– the mental impact of social media,
– and the uncertainty of artificial intelligence and the future of work.

The message of the story is that AI and technology are not enemies, but tools: they can help verify truth, develop self-control, and support adaptation — if used responsibly.

The final thought is clear:
it is not algorithms that decide for us, but we who decide how to live with them.
