International bronze medal and further strong results – Kossuth teams at the EduRobotics Cup

Students from Gyulai SZC Kossuth Lajos Technical School won a bronze medal and achieved further strong results at the 2026 EduRobotics Cup international robotics competition. The school's five teams competed in the Engineer Challenge TEENS age group, and all finished in the top eight.

During the competition days held in Orosháza on September 24–25, the students put their robot-building and programming skills, problem-solving abilities and teamwork to the test. The Németh Imre Foundation supported their work with robotics equipment and expertise. All five teams were coached by Melinda Mészáros, President of the Németh Imre Foundation.

The school's most successful team was HSE TEAM: Hédi Stübe, Sándor Csanyiga and Erik Gál secured 3rd place in the international field with 96 points and a run time of 48 seconds. This podium finish is an outstanding achievement for the school.

SMH Team, consisting of Dániel Maczik and Dominik Horváth, finished in 5th place with 80 points and a run time of 31 seconds.

ÁB TEAM, formed by Balázs Bozó and Ádám Kelemen, earned 78 points, with a run time of 24 seconds, securing 6th place.

The members of NB Team, Nóra Kitti Bartók and Bence Cseri, finished in 7th place with 68 points and a run time of 27 seconds.

ÁBN Team, consisting of Ákos Zahoránszky and Balázs Kovács, collected 64 points, with a run time of 23 seconds, and finished in 8th place.

Alongside the bronze medal, the fifth-, sixth-, seventh- and eighth-place finishes are also achievements worthy of recognition. These results reflect extensive work, redesigning, testing and mutual support—experiences that will also benefit the students in their future studies.
