LEGO Robots, Skilled Programmers and a Great Atmosphere

11/06/2026

The first Robotics Championship was organized with the support of the Németh Imre Foundation (NIA) and the Eötvös József Catholic Primary School and Kindergarten. Members of the robotics club enthusiastically took part in the competition, demonstrating their skills and creativity.

The participants completed a specially designed obstacle course and various challenges using their LEGO Spike robots. Throughout the competition, the students showcased creativity, perseverance, and excellent programming skills, creating an exciting and enjoyable atmosphere.

Experienced Judges and Mentors

The competition was supported by Software Development and Testing students from the Gyula Vocational Training Centre Kossuth Lajos Technical School, who served as judges. They not only supervised the tasks and scoring process but also shared their experience with the participants. Several of them have successfully competed in both national and international robotics competitions, providing valuable professional support throughout the event.

Outstanding Results and Valuable Prizes

The winner of the championship was Tünde Rózsa, a 5th-grade student, whose excellent performance earned her first place. All participants performed admirably and can be proud of their achievements.

At the end of the competition, every contestant received a prize. Thanks to the support of the Németh Imre Foundation, each participant was awarded a LEGO Creator robot set. In addition, they received a 3D-printed mobile phone holder and a hand-painted decorative stone created during the Kossuth pebble-painting program.

Fun for the Supporters Too

While the competitors completed the course, supporters also had the opportunity to enjoy robotics activities. They could participate in a Robot Dance game using EV3 robots, and later the competitors demonstrated their own programmed LEGO Spike robots performing impressive dance routines.

See You Again Next Year!

At the end of the day, everyone left with a smile. Competitors, supporters, parents, and organizers all agreed that it had been an enjoyable and memorable afternoon filled with learning, creativity, and fun.

The success of the first Robotics Championship makes one thing certain:

See you here again next year!
