NIA × EDU 2026 – From Equipment to Knowledge, From Knowledge to Success

From 24 to 26 September 2026, robotics, innovation and young talent will once again take centre stage at the Edu Robotics Cup 2026 international robotics competition. At the event, held at Kossuth Lajos Technikum in Orosháza, students from schools supported by the Németh Imre Foundation (NIA) will also put their skills to the test.

It is particularly important to our Foundation that young people should not only encounter modern technologies in theory, but also have access to the right equipment, professional guidance and opportunities to prepare and practise. This is why NIA supports the competing students both with its equipment and with the professional expertise gained over the years.

This year, students from Kossuth Lajos Technikum and Eötvös József Primary School are preparing for the competition with a total of seven teams. The students are supported by two assistant coaches and one head coach throughout their preparation and during the competition.

More than just providing equipment

Over the years, NIA has continuously worked to make the technologies of the future accessible to young people in the region. Robotics equipment, programming opportunities, 3D technology, drones and virtual reality are all areas that students can explore through hands-on experience.

However, preparing for a competition is about much more than simply providing equipment. Sharing knowledge, thinking together, problem-solving and teamwork are equally important. Robotics offers an excellent opportunity for young people to experience first-hand that solving a complex task requires creativity, perseverance and cooperation.

We are delighted that the opportunities provided by our Foundation extend beyond the classroom and enable students to put their knowledge into practice at both national and international competitions.

An international competition in Orosháza

The Edu Robotics Cup gives young people from different age groups the opportunity to test their skills, present creative solutions and learn from one another. At the same time, the competition is about much more than rankings: teamwork, new ideas and a shared enthusiasm for technology bring the participants together.

The competition will take place at Kossuth Lajos Technikum, Building A (the former Mezgé building), Kossuth tér 1, Orosháza.

We warmly welcome members of the press at noon on Thursday, 24 September 2026, giving them the opportunity to meet the young competitors, gain an insight into the world of robotics, and get to know the students who are already helping to shape the future with their knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm.
