Open Day 2.0 – IT from Students to Students

On 5 November 2025, IT took center stage at the Gyulai SzC Kossuth Lajos Technikum's event—presented by students, for students. Visitors could sit down next to the learners and try out what everyday coding practice feels like in real time.
With Python, playful algorithms; with HTML–CSS–JavaScript, a responsive mini-site and a tiny web game "came to life" in minutes; and with Java, both console and GUI examples showcased the power of object-oriented thinking.
For tech gourmets, the 3D scanner demo was a special treat: guests saw how a physical object becomes a digital model—and how that model can turn into a prototype. The process was supported by the NIA – Németh Imre Foundation's equipment, proving that modern hardware and code go hand in hand to bring ideas to life.
The aim of the program was to present different areas of IT in an accessible, experience-driven way and to spark enthusiasm for creative problem-solving.
