Drone Registration

Information about drone registration and insurance

A drone is like a car: it can only fly legally with proper "papers." You need:

  1. Remote pilot qualification
    Minimum: A1/A3 (basic/open category).
    For urban / close-to-people operations: A2.

  2. Operator registration
Register the operator (not the pilot) with the national authority.
The issued operator ID must be displayed on the drone (and—if required—set in the drone's remote identification).
This number is the drone's "license plate."

  3. Liability insurance
Mandatory in several countries; strongly recommended everywhere.
Choose a policy that explicitly covers UAS/drone operations.

How we help
Once you have the A1/A3 (and A2 if needed) qualification, we guide you step by step:

  • how and where to register the operator,

  • how your drone gets a "license plate" (operator ID),

  • what insurance to take out for your planned flights.

This way, your drone can take off legally and safely.
