AI Time Travel – Kossuth Students Achieve 6th Place in National AI Competition
Students of the Gyulai SZC Kossuth Lajos Technikum achieved an outstanding result at the "AInstein – National Artificial Intelligence Usage Competition": the Skill Issue team (Hédi Stübe, Sándor Csanyiga, Erik Gál) finished 6th place among more than 120 participants.
The competition took place between December 2025 and March 31, 2026, consisting of four rounds.
Round 1 – Test and AI Image Generation
The first round focused on assessing fundamental knowledge. Students completed a theoretical test covering AI concepts, applications, and ethical aspects.
They also completed an AI image generation task, where they:
- created their own prompts,
- generated images,
- and analyzed the results.
This round emphasized critical thinking and understanding how AI systems interpret instructions.
Round 2 – Infographic Comic (2010–2025 Challenges)
In the second round, teams created an 8–10 panel infographic comic presenting real-world challenges between 2010 and 2025.
They had to:
- highlight 2–3 major issues (e.g., fake news, digital overload),
- provide a solution to at least one problem,
- and build a coherent storyline.
The Skill Issue team explored a world driven by algorithms, raising the question:
Who controls truth in the digital age?
Round 3 – "Student Day 2050" Video
The third round required a creative video project about a futuristic school event.
Their video included:
- AI-powered organization,
- facial recognition entry systems,
- drone and hologram opening ceremony,
- holographic time travel,
- hoverboard competitions,
- and a strategic game called Holopoli.
The project demonstrated that AI enhances experiences rather than replacing humans.
Round 4 – Final: Holographic Future Profession
In the final round, students designed a future profession.
The team:
- developed a holographic-based career concept,
- created costumes and tools,
- and presented their idea in an interactive performance.
Summary
The team was coached by Melinda Mészáros, with support from the Gyulai SZC Kossuth Technikum and the NIA – Németh Imre Foundation.
The competition strengthened students' creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
👏 Congratulations on this excellent achievement!
